The founder and owner of a specialized accounting firm, Alan focuses on dentists and dental practice management, providing each client with effective CPA and business advisory services designed to take their practices to the next level.

In addition to his firm, Alan is also the founder of My Dental CPA, a beneficial resource dentists and dental practice owners can use to answer the everyday business questions they may find themselves asking. Created to complement an owner’s relationship with their CPA, not replace it, My Dental CPA expands on Alan’s passion for education and empowerment by offering free, easy-to-follow video tutorials that provide an extra layer of insight, clarity, and support for anyone building and growing a dental practice.
Through My Dental CPA, Alan brings decades of real-world experience directly to practice owners, enabling them to make better business decisions, build healthier practices, and focus on what matters most: their patients.
Education
Alan earned his undergraduate degree from Presbyterian College, where he majored in Accounting and Business Administration and minored in Economics. He later completed a Master of Accounting with a specialization in taxation from the University of Georgia. Alan began his career with KPMG in Atlanta, focusing on real estate taxation, and later joined the executive compensation team at Hewitt Associates, where he worked with Fortune 100 companies on high-level strategic planning. These experiences shaped his holistic approach to business and reinforced his commitment to helping clients think beyond the numbers.
Personal
Alan lives with his wife and high school sweetheart, Christy. Together, they have two grown sons: Nathan, a CPA who works alongside Alan, and Jacob, a veterinary graduate of North Carolina State.
